Braking Accessories

We stock a wide range of accessories which you may need when upgrading your brakes, or through regular maintenance and repair:

Brake pads
Brake lines
Brake and clutch bleeding kit
Brake fluid
Remote reservoirs
Switch assemblies
Banjo brake light switches
Caliper mounting brackets

Brake pads
We can provide brake pads for any ISR caliper, past or present. A number of compounds are available for either road or race use and whether it is a front or rear caliper. Please see the compound reference table for details, including prices.

When ordering brake pads, you need to specify the caliper model and whether it is used on the front or rear. If you have purchased the caliper from us, we will obviously have this information on record.

As well as ISR calipers, we can offer brake pads for other makes. You will need to provide bike make, model and year details.

Prices start from £10.99 per set (including VAT)

Brake lines
Replacing the brake lines is one of the most cost effective braking upgrades. Switching from a rubber to a braided steel brake line will eliminate any spongy feel under heavy braking and will transmit more power from the lever to the caliper. If you have upgraded the calipers, it is doubly important that you upgrade the brake hose.

We stock Goodridge brake lines which come with a lifetime guarantee. We recommend either the covered braided steel lines or if you want to minimise weight, the Kevlar lines which re about 70% lighter. Both come with a choice of either alloy or stainless steel ends.

If you want to order a brake line, you need to specify bike make, model and year. Alternatively, you can specify a custom length or fittings.

Finally, when replacing the brake lines, you should replace the brake fluid.

Prices start from £32.90 (including VAT)

Brake and clutch bleeding kit
The ultimate bit of kit capable of carrying out any bleeding or flushing job that you can imagine! This bleeding kit works by injecting fluid at the lowest point in the hydraulic system, allowing fluid and air bubbles to naturally rise back to the master cylinder reservoir. Unlike other pumps which are air pumps that have been modified for awkward vacuum bleeding, this product has been specifically designed as an air and fluid pump that has pressure AND vacuum capabilities.

Although not the cheapest, this kit is a workshop essential and will save time at the track.

Brake fluid

We have a choice of two brake fluids suitable for different uses:

Silicone brake fluid
A user friendly DOT5 brake fluid which doesn't damage paint work, is non toxic and non flammable. This brake fluid does not need replacing at regular intervals and and has no special disposal requirements.

The main benefit over other brake fluids is that it is non hydroscopic (water, rust and corrosion resistant). This, in combination with the consistently high boiling point (260 degrees Centigrade) means that it is less likely to boil under extreme use - which is disastrous as this creates air bubbles in the brake line, reducing braking performance.

Prices (including VAT): £8.81 for 250ml, £14.69 for500ml

201 Racing brake fluid
A DOT5.1 brake fluid suitable for extreme braking in race conditions. This brake fluid has a long life and superior performance over DOT3 and DOT4 due to it's high wet boiling point of 201 degrees Centigrade (dry boiling point - 280 degrees Centigrade). Suitable for all brake systems including anti-lock and carbon-carbon.
For competition use, this brake fluid is recommended over DOT5 fluid. Under racing conditions, it should be changed after each event.

Under racing conditions, change after each event. Under non racing conditions, it can be used for up to three years. Regardless of use, it should ALWAYS be changed if the boiling point degrades to 180 degrees Centigrade or less.

Price (including VAT): £4.99 for 250ml

Brake fluid remote reservoirs
We stock a universal mini brake fluid reservoir which is suitable for both front and rear use. This can be used for all clutch and brake systems.

We can supply other fluid reservoirs to suit specific purposes if required.

Price: £11.75 (including VAT)

Switch assemblies
ISR have created a number of handlebar clamp switch assemblies. These fit any of the master cylinder or clutch levers and can be used for any purpose.

There are four available: 1 slide and 2 push buttons (left and right hand), 1 slide and 1 push, and 2 push buttons only.

Prices start from £45.00 (including VAT)

Banjo brake light switches
If you are replacing your master cylinder and intend to use the bike on the road, you will need one of these to operate the brake light.

We stock Goodridge stainless steel banjo brake light bolts. Options are single and double length banjo bolts for use with single or twin brake lines.

When ordering, you need to specify the thread (M10x1mm or M10x1.25mm) and length. All ISR master cylinders use M10x1.25mm thread.

Prices start from £11.75 (including VAT)

Caliper mounting brackets
If you have purchased an ISR caliper in the past and have either changed bike, wheels or brake disc size, it is highly likely that you will need a new caliper mounting bracket.

We will need caliper information and all fitting details, i.e. bike make, model and year, disc size, etc. We can then determine if we have a ready made bracket, or need to design one.

Prices start from £50.00 (including VAT)
