Infrared transmitter If you want to do split lap timing, you will more than one Infrared transmitter. You will need one for each split in the lap, e.g. 3 transmitters to split the lap into 3 sectors. The transmitter is powered by 8 AA alkaline batteries, but can alternatively be powered by a 12V battery (cable supplied). Price: £55.00 (including VAT)

Gyro If you went for the MyChron 3 Gold, chances are you bought it to do track mapping. In which case you will need to fit one of these to the chassis of your bike. Once the data is downloaded to the Race Studio software, the information collected will allow full data analysis by track layout. Price: £142.00 (including VAT)

PC USB Cable and Race Studio software Although you can review the data you have collected on the display unit in real time, connect the display unit up to the PC via the USB cable and the Race Studio software will allow a much greater level of detail and control, as well as the ability to annotate track and weather conditions and bike set up information.Click here to see some examples. RPM Pick up This sensor clips over any of the spark plug wires. It can be attached to the same spark plug being used to measure the cylinder head temperature if the cables are kept away from each other to avoid interference. Price £7.50 (including VAT)

Speed sensor magnet If you regularly use more than one set of wheels, it is worthwhile fitting a speed magnet to each set to avoid having to move the sensor between wheels and set it up each time you change wheels. Price £3.75 (including VAT)

Cylinder head sensor This sensor measures the engine temperature at the cylinder head. It is designed to replace the spark plug washer (14mm). This provides an easy way of logging temperature on air cooled engines. K-Type Thermocouple Price £50.00 (including VAT)

Exhaust gas sensor The sensor measures the temperature just inside the exhaust header pipe. Many bikes come with the facility to connect an exhaust gas sensor as standard. If not, it can be easily retro fitted. Thread Size: 5mm x .8 K-Type Thermocouple Price: £50.00 (including VAT)

Water/oil sensor This sensor can either measure the engine water or oil temperature and is designed to measure temperatures below 260°C (500°F). Thread size -5mm x .8 K-Type Thermocouple Price: £50.00 (including VAT)

Water sensor in line adapter If you want to measure engine water temperature and your radiator does not have a 5mm x .8 thread for the sensor, you will need to install the in line adapter on the pipe from the radiator to the cylinder head. Included is the adapter and 2 jubilee clips. Price: £10.00 (including VAT)

Sensor extension cable This can be used for any of the sensors where the standard cable is not long enough to reach the display unit or junction box. Available in lengths of 50cm, 1m, 1.5m, 2m Price: £25.00 (including VAT)

Speed sensor and magnet This sensor is used with the MyChron 3 Plus or Gold to measure the speed at either the front or rear wheel. It works in conjunction with the magnet below.
